Heritage & Roberts Decree, All The World Be Taxed

The Supreme Court’s decision upholding the ACA is deliciously ironic. The “individual mandate”–an idea promoted for everyone in the 90s and for Massachusettians (?) in the 2000s by the arm of the Republican party known as the Heritage Foundation–was found to be legal. But not as a mandate, instead as a tax.

If the Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare tomorrow, how should Dems and liberals respond? Rep. Peter Welch’s suggestion: They should mount a concerted push for Medicare for All — and run hard on it in this fall’s elections.

Sanchez will be convicted as a cash-for-Cuba financier of fraudsters, “a capitalist for Cuban banks,” as prosecutors wrote in a court motion, accusing the 46-year-old South Florida man of conspiracy to commit money laundering for a group that funneled $63 million of stolen Medicare payments to Havana banks. You think the Cuban government was in on it?
